One room never cools. The air handler runs all afternoon. Ceiling stains appear near a supply register. Attic insulation looks dark around a boot. Those are leak symptoms, not thermostat problems. Sealing is not always the answer. Delaminated inner liners and wet ductboard do not seal; they get replaced. We say so on site rather than mastic over a failed run.
